About us

Established in 2007, Delphi Medical’s founders Dr Guinan and Dr Richmond saw that the nature of substance misuse treatment was changing from a primarily medical model to one of multi-agency working, concentrating on providing services led by the needs of clients.

People with dependency problems often lack social support and suffer from isolation which is compounded with a likelihood of other health problems. Our role is to change that culture and increase their sense of self belief by supporting them to re-engage and make positive life choices.

We are committed to providing the best possible opportunities for individuals and communities to start well, live well and age well.

As a visible, responsive and dynamic organisation, we know that we cannot achieve help people journey “from dependence to freedom”‘ in isolation. Our staff work in partnership with a variety of organisations, services, and with family networks, to create genuine change, provide an enhanced patient experience and add value to the health and social care system.

We are a values based organisation, and have defined the culture of the organisation by implementing our values. We reference them in all decision making; from decisions about patient care through to strategic planning.

We offer people-centred services which are;

Accessible – with open access provision and a promise to make communications easy. You should be able to ask questions of anyone within Delphi and we should always go one step further with our patients.

Sustainable – by caring about our wellbeing as individuals and teams, and through minimal our impact on the environment.

Accountable – by understanding responsibilities, both personal and organisational, and how these help us improve and strengthen our ourselves and our organisation.
